Farrier
During a show jumping event in Levis, Quebec, Canada in 2014, I’ve watched a farrier at work in a stable nearby and captured this scene that, for me, represents the essence of his profession.
Post processing notes:
Processed (reprocessed in fact) with 2020 version of ON1 Photo Raw. Cropped to 4:5 ratio. Beside dodge and burn in Local adj. tab, all filters were applied globally. Surface blur (75%) to soften contrast, Tone enhancer 1 to lift the mids, Tone enhancer 2 to lift the back point and shadows for a matte look, B&W at 70% to bring down colors and finally a Split tone to warm up highlights and cool shadows.Exif information:
