Cormorant taking off from the water
The photo was taken by a pond in the late afternoon. I was trying out a new telezoom lens (Z 150-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR) with my Nikon Z8.
Post processing notes:
The image was edited using ON1 Photo RAW 2026.3. It started with a RAW photo where the tone and colors were adjusted first. Subsequent steps involved local adjustments (darkening parts of the image and adjusting the tonal values of the water). Next, the water was highlighted in green using Color Replace, the cormorant was processed with Dynamic Contrast, the colors were further refined with Color Enhancer, and the water was given a final touch-up with a glow effect.Exif information:
