Church of Santa Maddalena, Val Di Funes, Dolomites
At sunset, the Church of Santa Maddalena sits quietly in its meadows, as if listining to the mountains breathe. As the last light of day pours over the jagged Dolomite peaks, turing their stone faces warm gold and soft rose. Below, the valley settles into a deep, velvety green-fields, forests and the small cluster of farm houses gathered around the slender steeple. I stood in awe for minutes, as I watched the world being gently folded into the grandeur of the Alps, a place where evening arrives not with darkness, but with a kind of blessing.
Post processing notes:
Editited with ON1 2025. Very minimal processing such as the removal of contrails from the sky and the addition of a sunset sky. Processing consisted mainly of global adjustments via the Tone and Color panel. Foreground was adjusted using a gradient mask, whereas the mid-ground and mountains were masked via AI.
