Bringing Home Breakfast
I have photographed this osprey around his nest for years. I captured him in amazing “angel wings” position as he clutched a headless fish which I then watched him land on his nest and feed to his mate who was sitting on their eggs. Amazingly, it has been displayed in the Louvre Museum in Paris and published often including in National Geographic. It won me a course in professional photography from the New York Institute of Photography when it won Popular Photography Magazine’s annual photo contest.
Post processing notes:
I converted from RAW to JPG and in the the sky that I photographed in the background was a boring blue sky, I used one of the ON1 stock skies to replace the one that was photographed. The photo was shot at 400mm, F5.6 and 1/2000 of a second.Exif information:
