Bluestem Orbs in Early Morning Light
I went out early in the morning on a humid summer day here in central Texas with a manual-focus macro lens on my Canon M200 just knowing that it wouldn’t take long for me to find some round orbs of dew clinging to the bluestem grasses that grow in our rural backyard. This is one of my favorites from that session, which I’ve tried to present in such a way that feels like a fine art greeting card.
Post processing notes:
The bulk of the processing on this took place in ON1 Photo RAW 2026.4, where I took advantage of NoNoise AI and Motion filter to deal with the exceptionally noisy background. Also used some light leaks, the Glow filter, the Morning Person color grading LUT, and some locally applied Dynamic Contrast to bring up some of the finer details. Finishing touches included an emulsion border and canvas texture overlay.Exif information:
