Blue Wall
On June 9, 2026, large southwest swells were breaking on a beach in Orange County Ca. The beach is known as The Wedge, located in Newport Beach, and is notorius for high surf. At 8:27 am, I captured a body boader dropping in from the large wave as other surfers were paddling out . One of my favoriter action shots from that day.
Post processing notes:
I used On1 2026 and started my post processing with Brilliance AI along with lens correction for my Canon Rf 100to 500mm lens. Only made minor adjustments in overall tone and color. I added the following effetcs , Glow, a vignette and dynamtic contrast to get that white watrer and spray in the cresat of the wave to pop. I finshed with noise and tack shap adjustments. +Exif information:
