Blue Heron Mating Ritual
Sound a rookery of blue heron, counted over 65 nests. Set up camera and observed, they were busy building nests and then this guy started his flirting show. Do not know if she accepted him, lol.
camera was sony,ILCE-7RMS. 800mm lens, ISO 640, f/8. exposure 1/3200 exposure bias +.3 step

Post processing notes:
I used on1 raw start with local edit and brush in detail. Then remove any haze from sky via tool. I then adjusted shadows, highlights and blacks to detail herons color and adds to detail. Again using local edit. I did crop this first ,wanted some branches in picture to add context to what was going on(story telling).Exif information:
