Aurora decided to come out and play
I saw an alert pop up in my feed that the aurora was going to be active that night. Several friends who lived in the area as well verified it. The weather was iffy too, moving clouds and fog, not to mention temps were double-digits below 0 degrees fahrenheit. It’s an hour drive to the area to best view aurora and when we got there, nothing to be seen, about 10pm. Waited around for about 2 or so hours quite disappointed. After deciding to start heading back, my buddy noticed the clouds clearing and faint glimmers of aurora, so we stopped and started setting up again. This is one of many photos I ended up with, so it was difficult to choose which one to submit. The aurora was wild that night.
