Anna’s Hummingbird and Hawthorn Flower
My local birding park May 2026. Hawthorn trees , and other flowering bushes were in bloom. One particular Hawthorn tree was in the shade. One never knows when a hummingbird will come along. I saw some movement near the flowers. The hummingbird was facing in the wrong direction so I wasn’t able to catch all of the iridescent colours.
Post processing notes:
I was far from the tree and hummingbird, and there was a lot of distracting white bokeh dots from sun behind the tree.I did a lot of cropping, instead of erasing the dots. Local adjustment of the hummingbird to increase the exposure and bring out some colour. A different angle of shooting would have seen the ruby throat. Dynamic contrast to flowers and denoise.
