Waiting for a Mate
The photo was taken around 4:00 PM in a pond next to my house in Beaufort, South Carolina. I waited for about an hour for the Egret to position itself on the muffle of the log.
Post processing notes:
I used a number of On1's editing tools; I started with Super Select to isolate the egret and added a very subtle depth lighting to the egret. Then I reversed the mask and darkened the background. Then an added dynamic contrast on the whole photo. Lastly, added a slight vignette to finish the photo.Exif information:
