An Indigo Bunting pauses mid-song while perched on a weathered barbed wire fence line at my home on Squirrel Creek, my favorite place in the world. This shot captures one of my favorite annual visitors, whose vibrant return I look forward to every single year. Using ON1 software, the development focused on preserving the true-to-life brilliance of the bird’s iridescent plumage while creating a clean, natural separation from the rural Texas backdrop.
Post processing notes:
Using ON1 software, I re-cropped the image to optimize the composition and applied precise tonal and white balance adjustments to create a natural, cohesive look. I then carefully edited the bunting to highlight the crisp feather details and true-to-life brilliance of its iridescent blue plumage, finishing the shot with a subtle vignette to gently draw focus to the subject.Exif information:
