Sunflower, Good Evening; Bazaar Cattle Pens, Kansas
About 10 minutes south of Emporia on I-35, there’s a small turnoff marked “Scenic Area: Bazaar Cattle Pens.” I’ve been stopping by there for close to 20 years, long before it became an official scenic area, because it’s a great place to shoot the rolling terrain of the Flint Hills. This evening, the lighting was just perfect for a sunflower.
