END OF THE LINE — CALIFORNIA
This photo is back from late September 2022 and was shot on iPhone 11 Pro Max.
It is literally the western end of the line in Santa Monica Pier, California of the famous Route 66 that ran across the USA.
Being a fan of different forms of travel it was a pleasant surprise seeing the literal end of the historic line right by the ocean.
I knew the western terminus was in Santa Monica California but seeing the actual end post felt like the missing puzzle piece in a puzzle I was not aware I was completing 😀

Post processing notes:
I took the picture with the standard iPhone camera app only compensating for the exposure slightly as we were starting to approach sunset shortly. I cropped the photo in ON1 closer to the sign to give it a more full sense of satisfaction. I used the Brilliance AI to have a robust starting point and then tweaked the settings a little bit -- contrast, highlights, midtones, shadows, whites primarily. I then applied the CM5 preset in ON1 and tweaked some of the color settings including curves (to compensate slightly for the iPhone 11's camera) and to really try and recapture the feeling of awe and wonder of being there in person ...Exif information:
