Edmund Pettus Bridge
This is a picture of arguably the most important site of the Civil Rights era. It is the at the location in Selma, Alabama where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. led the Selma to Montgomery march. I intentionally shot this image in a way that would enable you to imagine stepping onto the bridge with 100+ angry Alabama state waiting to beat your brains out on the other side. It is also the spot where the late Congressman John Lewis had his skull fractured on what is now known as Bloody Sunday, March 7, 1965
