Using the Blur Mask Tool

The Blur Mask tool, the final tool in the Refine group, softens edges of the mask where you paint; all you need to do is run the tool over the edges you wish to blur. Softening the edges on blurred or semi-transparent subjects like hair can make them blend with a new background in a more realistic manner.
