I have recently purchased ON1 Effects 2019 and I really like it. I am a senior member and have much to learn about photography in general never mind Effects.
My question is what is the main difference between Effects and Raw, do I need both, or should I learn more about effects before upgrading. If I don’t need both then what one would be best for me as an amateur.
Regards, Jim

Thanks for completing this, Dylan – I feel much more confident editing photos now that I see them applied to your example photos. 🙂

Excellent series of videos with great info and tips. Thanks. One question on a fringe topic, on my version of 2020, whenever I add an effect, the affect window is closed and I need to click “show” to open the window. This only started doing this in the most recent update. It is now a 2 step process, add affect – show effect, which is really annoying. I noticed in your video, the new affect always opens “open”.
Is there a setting I need to change to get the new affect to open “open”?
Thanks,
Levin
