hmm…. try this until the boss gets here. once you select the object, right click to bring up the adjustment panel. just choose ADJUSTMENT (the adjustment panel shows up at the right). ramp up the exposure to make sure you are targeting the object you want (may have to do an invert mask. (i know.. thats not exactly clear). then find SHOW MASK. then you can use the masking brush (erase mode) to clean up the target area. (you can invert mask and add areas you missed.
