Van Niekerk Grandparents
Color and stains restored on this Cabinet Card photograph by Bertie St. Clair taken between 1884 and 1915, and printed in London. It is an image of my wife’s great, great great grandparents taken during the gold rush in the town of Baberton, in South Africa. The photo is from a family album with pictures taken during the mid to latter 1800’s.

The cabinet card photo was scanned, imported into On1 Photo Raw Max 2026.4. The editing process included resizing up to 300% in RESIZE AI, restoring with RESTORE AI. From a creative point and visual impact, I wanted to go full color restoration, taking the image from the 1800's right into the 21'st century. Technically, utilising the develop features and exclusive effex tools aiming for a crisp and soft on the eye rendition with the software.
