Rosette Nebula

The Rosette Nebula is a star forming nebula located 5200 light years from earth. The intense radiation from newly born stars ionizes the gases in the nebula thereby causing them to emit light. The photograph was captured using a Dwarf 3 portable telescope and consists of 398 individual 15 second exposures that were stacked.
