Reluctant Praying Mantis
Your back yard can provide a great photographic experience. While taking my camera for a backyard stroll, I discovered this Praying Mantis perched in one of our rose bushes. He reluctantly posed for a photograph. Taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark 4 with an EF 70-200mm f2.8 zoom lens. This image was reprocessed for this contest on May 27, 2026.

As a standard process procedure, when I first load the image into On1 Photo Raw is: 1. Enable Brilliance AI and Lens correction. 2. Make any further adjustments to exposure, contrast, and color balance as necessary. 3. Noise reduction and image sharpening. 4. Photo filters are typically applied.Exif information:
