Protective Mom

Photographed on a bison ranch in Iowa this past April. The baby was just a few days old and mom was very protective of her newborn, as you can see from her wide eyes. She exhibited very protective behavior.
This photograph was taken with a Nikon D500 with a Tamron telephoto 18-400mm, at 185mm focal length.
