A Look Back and a Look Forward for ON1

Hello everyone, Craig Keudell, CEO of ON1 here. It’s been a while. It brings me great joy to express my gratitude for your continued support of the ON1 photography community over the last 18 years. Wow 18 years, how time flies by. In June of 2005, we embarked on the ON1 journey with a vision of providing photographers like yourself more time behind the camera and less time editing the photos you cherish.

The photo industry has seen some big changes over the last 18 years. From cameras to software, everything has seen change. It is so satisfying to look back at the remarkable progress and innovation the ON1 team has built into our photo editing software over the years. Most recently, our noise reduction, upscaling, sharpening, organizing, masking, and raw photo editing breakthroughs are the beginning of a new chapter for ON1. As exciting as AI is, it also brings a lot of unknowns to the photography space. We are using AI to solve real-world problems photographers face today in their post-production workflows. These new AI-based technologies are for helping you save time and give you superior results, not to replace YOU, the photographer. Our AI strategy will always put the photographer first and I want to make that clear. Photography is here for you to tell your stories, preserve memories, unwind, forge new connections, rekindle old friendships, and unlock a world of limitless possibilities, not creating fake images. That is what photography is and always will be at ON1.

ON1 has come a long way and stands as a model of our unwavering commitment to providing you with a world-class photo editing experience at an extremely great value. We are still the same hardworking, privately held, US-based company we were 18 years ago. We rely heavily on customer support and feedback to build the best, highest-value software for photographers, and we will continue to do so for many years to come. I constantly hear from customers about how much they value our apps and ways we can improve our products and services. Thank you for that! Check out our TrustPilot reviews.

As we proudly celebrate our 18-year anniversary, we’re slashing prices across the board to thank everyone who supports ON1. Save on your favorite ON1 apps, get the new ON1 Photo Keyword AI standalone app, or enjoy discounts on ON1 Photo Kits and creative extras.

If our software ever fails to meet your expectations, please don’t hesitate to contact me or anyone on our team. We have a no questions asked 30-day money-back guarantee.

From every member of the ON1 family, I extend our greatest appreciation for your tremendous support and loyalty over the last 18 years. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to 18 more years.

Sincere Regards,
Craig

As you look forwards, you may want to think about making sure releases work correctly before releasing them. As a retired software engineer, I understand the pressure of getting software released on a promised date. I also understand how frustrating it id to users who can’t use the new release. Photo RAW MAX 2024 is a perfect example. My system came with a small (256GB) SSD drive as the C: drive and a 2TB D: drive. Obviously, I can’t install a lot of big applications on my C: drive. Trying to do things the way you suggest, I downloaded the Application Manager. It did give me the option to install it on my D: drive, but when I tried to install Photo RAW MAX 2024 from the Application Manager it started installing it on my C: drive without giving me the option to install it anywhere else. So, I had to stop that install and clean up the mess. I then downloaded the Photo RAW MAX 2024 installation. It did give me the option to install it on my D: drive. The problem is it won’t run from there. All I get is crash dumps when I try running it. All of the great new features are useless to me since I can’t run it.
