Torres De Paine Massif Sunrise
Sunrises late in Patagonia this time of year. This was shot at the end of blue hour toward the Massif peaks in Patagonia. About 9:00. I intentionally chose a low shutter speed for the small cascade of water in the lower left. At first I wasn’t thrilled with the boat dock light but do like the star effect and reflection in the water. I’m particularly happy with the foreground and mountain contrast, the lightening of the blurred water and rippled water as well as the sun highlights starting to hit the peaks.
Post processing notes:
The was processed entirely in Photo Raw MAX 2026.4. Small Tone and Color adjustments for the overall image in highlights, shadows, and whites. Utilized local adjustment masks for the foreground water, foreground land and mountains, sky mask for saturation enhancements. Added dynamic contrast effect for natural ground to help the color pop and a slight vignette.Exif information:
