Low tide textures
We went out on a cool and rainy morning at low tide in the Baie de Somme hoping to photograph seals. The seals however stayed far out in the bay. As we were walking along the beach the rain cleared for a moment and we saw these ribbons of water. Putting the pebbles and pilings in the foreground added the perfect element to capture all the different textures of the bay. Making the picture black and white brought of the textures and really captured the cool morning mood of the scene.
Post processing notes:
I used the second black and white preset in Photo Raw and as well as adding a lot of contrast to the picture.Exif information:
