highlights
The highlight towers in Munich are truly remarkable, and I wanted to showcase their immense size from a very low angle. Although the weather was moody and overcast late in the afternoon, this added a captivating ambiance to the image, emphasizing the architectural highlights of the building.
The shot was captured with a D600 camera at a 16mm lens and an aperture of F8.
Post processing notes:
I used ON1 Photo RAW and made some curve adjustments to enhance the contrast. I also used the color mixer and color grading tool to adjust the colors to my liking. I added some dynamic contrast and glow to create a moody atmosphere. I made some local adjustments to the sky to brighten it up and guide the viewer’s eye. In Develop, I made some tone adjustments and increased the midtones and exposure because the image was underexposed, which helped to preserve the lights on the towers. Finally, I increased the temperature and saturation to taste.Exif information:
