Faces of China
On our trip to China we encounter many people. We visit a pottery making factory. These hands tell a story of “one profession, one life” (ze yi shi, zhong yi sheng). In China, these hands represent the “artisanal hand”—decades of patience, dedication, and high concentration, often resulting in hands that are stained, calloused, and shaped by the clay itself.
