Cougar Siuslaw Forest
Camera trap photo taken in mid May 2026 at the edge of Siuslaw Nat Forest outside of Florence Oregon along a game trail. The photo was taken mid-day and three Camtraptions ZPro flashes were triggered by an IR motion sensor to illuminate the cougar in the forest.
Post processing notes:
I initially processed the raw image using ON1 2026.4 RAW (color balance, exposure/contrast, no noise, tack sharp). Since the photo was a little soft due to minor lens fogging, I then used the new Restore AI feature of ON1, toned down the results and converted to a TIFF. I then reprocessed the TIFF file in ON1 2026.4 to remove some of the crispness of the Restore AI and re-adjusted colors, shadows, highlights.Exif information:
