A blue day
The picture was taken at Gatow Air base Germany on 16 April 2026 on an organised tour. The shot of the Vickers Varsity was one of many of the static displays of various aircraft at the base.
The photo was taken on an OM1 mk 11 camera with a 18-25mm lens at 18mm, F4 1/1000th of a second.
Post processing notes:
The image was processed in ON1 photcoraw. The aircraft and the sky had a local adjustment applied to bring out the highlights and midtones and increase the shadows slightly. The aircraft was further enhanced by the structures slider to bring out its features before a black and white midnight out was applied to the entire photograph to give it the blue hue. A big softy vignette finished off the composition.Exif information:
