   It would be interesting if I could download it. Tried it about 12 times and it stops downloading in a conpletely ramdom fashion. Anyone have this probem?

   I really appreciate the update. 2018.1 was the last version that didn’t crash constantly on my Surface Pro 2. 2018.5.2 seems to be solid and faster. THANKS AGAIN!!!!

   Hallo Dan,
   are the two following bugs fixed :
   – slow on PC win10, especially for brush strokes not fluent with erratic jumps
   – possibility to launch several times a pure photoshop psd file from BROWSE to photoshop even if it contains LUT,… not recognized by ON1. simple explorer working, no need extra processing of psd in ON1. i want to use ON1 browse same way than Adobe bridge.
   can we now add a label and rating in effects and develop for each image without going back to browse for each image ?

      Hi Dan
      I had the same problem on a WIN7 PC, though the system manufacture (BIOS) date is April 2011. Checked with Nathan who concurred with my “wondering” whether my laptop was finally “too old” with not enough resources. I’d like to hope not, but I AM wondering still; though I was intrigued to see that marc labro had the same problem on a WIN10 PC… a partial listing of my DELL configuration here:

         hallo,
         graphic card is becoming challenging now for plugins while lightroom and photoshop work fluently with old machines.
         i needed to update my recent nvidia to a 1050 one to have something stable, more fluent as if i was a gamer while we are only in 2D applications.
         This perhaps also perhaps explain why some brsuh strokes,… are not fluent. using cpu could be perhaps useful instead of graphic card, accelerators, …

   Crop-tool is now REALLY smooth, and the new Transform seems very useful 🙂
   Loading time in Develop is now consistent and what appears to be a bit faster 🙂 🙂
   Applying my own “RAW Camera Profile” preset in Develop is instantaneous 🙂 🙂 🙂
   NO MORE Choppy sliders 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
   Also, a made a quick “stress test” and noticed virtually NO PERFORMANCE DEGRADATION at any time!
   First in Develop, a 42MB compressed RAW, with my “standard preset” (Tone,, Details, Lens Cor, Curves, Color Adjust)
   + 5 Local adjustment layers (1 gradient
   + 6 Perfect Eraser, with 3 large ones (working almost perfectly, removed 2 large handrails to 99%)
   Continued in Effects
   – Color Enhancer (with Lumi mask)
   – 3 different Dyn Contrast (each masked, reflected gradient, edges, brushing )
   – Sunshine
   – Borders
   – Vignette
   – Lens Flare
   – 2 Photo filters (with masks, brushing and edges)
   Then added
   – Local adjustment (Mask Bug, Edges + a lot of smooth Masking Brush work, max 10% CPU+ 15% GPU)
   Followed by Adding keywords in Browse (took a few seconds to switch to grid mode, so it is working harder with all filters)
   Then back into Effects,
   – zoom in (100%) took around 3sec (CPU <10% and GPU max 36%)
   – panning, which was not so smooth anymore, but still acceptable. “Startup time” before panning is 2sec, with CPU around 8% (17% max) and GPU 12% (20% max)
   STANDING OVATIONS!
   You and the ON1 DEVELOPMENT team should be proud!!!
   This is the best version by far since I started using ON1 in 2008!
   To fulfill a workflow cycle, I ended my session with an Export to a 4K sized photo (9.5MB jpeg), which took a bit too long though (2min 35 seconds with 80-100% CPU and 60-98% memory).
   So, I will continue to test, but I’m now confident I made the right choice of moving to ON1 stand-alone (from LR).
   What I see as the last remaining hurdles (in priority order) are:
   1 Hierarchal keywording
   2 User-saved presets for Browse Filters settings + extending the Metadata that can be searched, see (an essential part of my workflow since I use keywords to represent “states” of a photo in my complete developing process and then I filter out the photos for “next phase in my workflow”)
   3 Extend Crop to include some of the architectural grids found in the Plus! course by Welninski, Fibonacci and golden ratios, see https://www.phimatrix.com/ for additional inspiration
   4 Improve speed for Exporting photos
   5 Dual-screen support, to further integrate Browse and Develop for a more efficient culling process, of which Crop is an essential tool for me to judge in/out
   6 Simple slideshow, I use it so frequently to reflect over my work, (per session, over the years, showing EXIF metadata to see aperture and time as feedback, relax, etc. ). My workaround is to export all PR developed photos to a Catalogue folder, which I also have imported to the LR catalog, and in this way, I continue to use LR Slideshow, allowing me to search, enjoy, and edit all my old LR photos, without the need to redo substantial editing in PR for old photos.

   Thanks for adding the perspective correction! Keystone works very well. Now we have a long awaited feature!
   However:
   It only works, when you are working on a photo and add “Transform” in Develop.
   If you have a photo that already has “Transform” added or you use a preset for importing that as a standard and uses “Transform” in Develop and you use keystone you are able to select the area but when I click on “apply” nothing happens.
   I have to remove “Transform” and add it back. Then it works.
   I hope you get this corrected soon.

   Hi Dan,
   For long time now i have a strange bug with clipping display.
   if you press J and increase exposure you see red zones, perfect
   if in develop you add a split tone and come back to tone and increase exposure until image is burnt, red zones never occur.
   lightroom is ok in same conditions
   i think split tone is not the only one doing that

    Hi
    I downloaded and installed 2018.5.2 this morning. I have not yet had time to explore all of the features. But, I have resized and soft proofed a load of photos. I use Windows 10, and 2018.11 and 2018.5 ran very well and only crashed occasionally. Although resizing did link to quite a few crashes. However, with 2018.5.2 I have been resizing and have not yet exprienced any crashes.
    What I have noticed, is that the CPU usage rises to between 20% & 30%, and stays in that ball park until after Photo Raw has shut down. The load on the graphics card varies between 0% and 35% depending on what I am doing. I am using a relatively low powered AMD laptop.
    So far, it looks like ON1 has done an excellent job.
