Spooky Night on Egg Rock
I recall watching a Netflix movie, The Lighthouse (2019), a few years ago. It was a “suspense/thriller” movie. So recently I ran across a year-old picture I took while on a boat ride near my home on Mt. Desert, Maine. In the day time the “Egg Rock Lighthouse” is attractive and a favorite photo subject for tourists. But in examining this color, daytime image I wondered what I might be able to produce if I was challenged to produce an eerie, spooky book cover or movie poster.

The second image used several On1 tools, including Perfect Eraser, Effects (Black and White), Effects (Weather), Effects (Dynamic Contrast), Layering (added the light beam, downloaded from https://www.freepik.com/), and several Local Masking adjustments as well as liberal use of Tone/Color controls.Exif information:
