Screwing
The shooting of the skyscraper “Torso” in Malmo (Sweden), by architect Santiago Calatrava, was performed on January 20, 2024. The morning was rather cold, whipped by a strong wind from the sea. Unfortunately the gray sky was a bit below my expectations but the twisting of this concrete colossus always has a certain effect!
Post processing notes:
First, "Brilliance AI" was applied, which emphasized the highlights of the structure. The shot, already presenting few colors, was desaturated: then, with the adjustment of the tones, it was adjusted for maximum contrast, the opening to the shadows and the reduction of the whites. With the "Transformation" option I proceeded to check the verticality to straighten the falling lines typical of the 20 mm wide-angle lens and performed the correct crop. Now I needed to improve the flat grey Swedish sky: in the JPEGS category, sky no. 14 I found the right drama of the sky, dark enough to highlight the white thrust of the skyscraper.Exif information:
