Ribbon aerobatics
Shot this photo on March 4, 2023 at a performance of the Sarasota Circus.
The phot was taken using a Sony A7R III and a 200-600 mm zoom at 200 mm. The shot was taken at 1/1000 of a second at f5.6 and I was using continuous auto focus.
I took the shot because I was struck by the combination of strength with grace, and was particularly pleased with the camera’s ability to maintain focus uder challenging conditions.
Post processing notes:
The phot was processed entirely with On1 Photo Raw 2025. Some of the steps taken were 1. Picture was sharpened with NoNoise Ai 2. Picture was cropped to focus the viewer’s eye 3. Some background lighting was removed using the perfect eraser 4. The image was enhanced using Brilliance AI 5. The image was converted to B&W using one of the settings in the "B&W modern" presets 6. The conversion was backed off sufficient to bring back the flesh tones associated with the subject aerialist.Exif information:
