Reflections in Mist
St Annes Lagoon North of Cheviot Canterbury New Zealand 25 April 2025 0715 am.
I enter the lagoon drive with valley mist still present but burning away with the morning sun.
The tree was difficult from other angle due to proximity to the shore. This angel allowed for the backlight of the sun and the reflections of the target tree and background trees, I crept out on a branch over the water to get a better angle (not a bad feat for a 75yr old with a metal knee) I normally use Nikon D850 however in this shot I fear the additional instability and weight would result in both it and me landing in the water. I used the iPhone 14 Pro max Spot metering f1.78 1/4, 348 exposure time Lat: 42 Degrees 46 Minute 43.669 Second S
Long: 173 degrees 16 Min 8.658 Sec E
I have just escaped the Adobe subscription “prison” and very new to ON1
Post processing notes:
Post possessing the photo: Some cropping to balance the reflections was done I used the eraser tools to remove intruding branches on the lower left and bottom of the image I chose not to remove the ripples created by the branch I was perched on due to the colour gradient and my lack of skill I tried to stay as still as possibleExif information:
