Putting on the G’s Composite Photo
F22 fighter banking in a turn at high speed and G forces. The air pressure decreases on the top of the wing and also lowers its temperature so condensation can form cloud like air. Taken at Gary Airport while plane was enroute to its 1922 Chicago Air Show performance.
Post processing notes:
I am not a sport or aircraft photog and my Fuji XH1 is not a speed demon, but we were made for each other. I was shooting multiple frames but drifted off target and I got the nose chopped off the plane on the best shot with the G vapor on the wings. I was able to make a larger canvas with more sky and added the nose from another frame. I messed up somehow and ended up with a 990.2 megapixel image. It had a lot of sky around it and I cropped it for a more pleasing composition and used on1 resize and export from On1 2025 to pare it down fit the contest rules. The compositing was done on the version of On1 that was current in 2022
