Pere Marquette Lighthouse Muskegon Michigan
This photo is of the Pere Marquette Lighthouse, Muskegon Michigan, located at the entrance to the Muskegon Lake channel from Lake Michigan. It was taken on 9/21/2014 with the Nikon D5100 my wife gave me when I retired from the college where I taught in the Applied Manufacturing Technology department. I think she was afraid I would be spending too much time around the condo.
Though the composition was good the image was mediocre at best and sat in my archives for 10 years. In 2024 I thought I would see what I could do with it using ON1. Though I don’t consider the edited version to be a contest winner it is now an image that I am proud to share.

Post processing notes:
All processing was done with ON1 2024. After slightly straightening the image, I cropped it to 10x8. Then in the Develop mode I applied Brilliance. From Effects I selected the lighthouse and enhanced its color as it was a rather dingy red due to weather and lake waves.Exif information:
