Nuns and Umbrellas
While we were in Seville, Spain in April, 2025, three nuns passed us by on the street. I wanted t take their photo, but by the time I had my Samsung S25 phone out of my pocket and ready to shoot (my camera was in the hotel), the nuns were farther down the street and cars were coming up the road, blocking my view. By the time I finally had a clear shot, the nuns were far down the street, but I took the shot anyway. When I arrived home and was post-processing our vacation photos on ON1, I noticed that, not only did I get a clear photo of the nuns, but they were perfectly positioned near two very large umbrellas that closely matched the nuns’ white veils (hence the title “Nuns and Umbrellas”). I couldn’t have planned it better.
Post processing notes:
ON1 Photo RAW MAX 2025.2 was used to post-process this photo. I adjusted the tone to brighten the veils without blowing out the details and used some Dynamic Contrast to sharpen the cropped image. Finally, I used Resize to increase the pixel count, since the original photo positioned the nuns and umbrellas far in the right corner of the frame.Exif information:
