My mountains

After unusual mild weather in November and early December 2024, I decided to try one more hike in the mountains of Southern Norway before the winter really set in. At the time of the hike most of the snow had melted and walking was easier than expected, although crossing rivers had its moments with ice and lots of melt water.
No one else was around and I really enjoyed the solitude, season and the scenery. The photo was taken near the cabin where I stayed the night. This is a self “portrait” with the camera on the tripod. I shot several photos with a 10s delay so I had time to walk in position.
