Mt. Shuksan Reflection
One morning while in Bellingham, I drove to Mt. Baker. The air was still on this bright sunshine day. In driving by this lake I saw this perfect reflection of Mt. Shuksan and thought, with the sun position where it was, it would make a great high key image. With ON1 software including the black and white filter the final edit was accomplished in which I made the image to look like it was shot on an cloudy day with clouds clinging around the mountain.
Post processing notes:
Develop was used for initial tone and color raw adjustments gear toward high key. Next several local adjustments were used (both before and after converting to B&W). They adjusted specific areas of the scene for the high key effect. Finally, I added the texture filter to give the image a canvas type look and to add a ripple effect to the lake.
