I captured this photo at sunset in Zion NP last May. I was at the bridge over the Pa’rus Trail, along the main road through the park. The Mountain is called The Watchmen. I was using a Sony a7R V with a 24-70 GM lens at 70 mm. Gitzo tripod legs and Really Right Stuff BH 40 Head.
Post processing notes:
I started with swapping out the sky using the Sunsets that came with PR 2025. The original did not express the message that the light merited. The processing was pretty straight forward. I enabled Brilliance AI then selected the Camera Vivid profile. I tweaked the sliders in Develop for Tone and Color. I then moved into Effects with a Curves adjustment making a shallow S curve for contrast and pulled the Blue Chanel a little to the Yellow. I used the Color Enhancer to separate the Red, Orange, Yellow and Green colors. I added Soft Dynamic Contrast to the rocky parts and Darker Glow to the trees. I finished the image by Color Grading it using the Match Color, Medusa.Exif information:
