Man Imitating Statue or Statue Imitating Man?

I took this photo in May, 2025, on a recent trip to Croatia in which I visited several islands along the Dalmatian Coast. This photo was taken in Hvar Town on the island of Hvar in the late morning, close to noon. I was and still am led to wonder if the man, who was looking at his cellphone, realized that he had struck the same pose as the statue he was sitting in line with. Both this question in my mind and also the connection between human and inanimate object that was created because of the similarity of the man’s pose/posture to that of the statue and his being right behind the statue really resonates with me. I enjoy taking pictures that tell a story, and this scene created a story for me to remember my visit to this Croatian town and island.
