I call the little Acorn people Jake Horns. Its a whimsical attempt to capture some interaction between bird and woodland ‘Jake Horn’ characters.. This was one of the trickiest to get right… ON1 has been critical to making this work.
NB: No birds were harmed during the process…but they have been well fed
The characters were fixed to strong sticks which have been retouched out.. This pigeon loves sunflower hearts and got very well fed until I got the right photo.
Post processing notes:
Used Brilliance AI and toned it back quite a bit, then adjusted Tone and colour manually. Cropped to obtain perspective Used AI Masking to highlight characters and foreground Used Retouch to remove staging sticks for the characters Used Effects 'Sun-flare' to add some atmosphere top right Used Noise and Sharpening AI on 2024 standard settings Nikon D7500 and 400mm Sigma lens at 135mm F7.1 1/250sec.
