Goose in Stream
I am running goosegigantus on facebook. The content is pictures of oversized geese in the city I live in. I photograph geese and surroundings independently of each other, and then work to make the lighting match. Part of the concept is the titles of the pictures, which are in Danish. They are usually subtle and can only be translated in a few cases. The Danish title is: I medgang og modstrøm. Which translates poorly to: Upstream and Downstream. Both photos were taken in the afternoon sunshine in my hometown Haderslev in Denmark. It is a composit of 2 photos . One of goose and one of stream and buildings.
Post processing notes:
Only program used for all masking and modifications is ON1 Photo Raw 2025. The shadow of the goose in the water is made in local adjustment. The water splash at the goose's legs is made with a brush that I imported into ON1 PR 2025 from another program. Finally I used a couple of effects HDR natural opacity 47, and Black and White opacity 40. A little bit of Noise and Sharpening was used on the goose.Exif information:
