Flying Heron
This was taken at Healey Dell Nature Reserve in the North of England. Time was between 2 and 3 PM and it was cloudy. Because I was above the shot, there was quite a bit of tree cover so it was not great for light and the ISO was 1600. I found a gap and got very lucky. I was using a Canon R7 and RF 100-400 lens with a shutter speed of 1/2500 zoomed in to about 320mm.
Post processing notes:
I used ON1 Photo Raw to transform the photo from a noisy photo to acceptable. First I applied NoNoise AI and did some minor adjustments to exposure, contrast and midtones then I used a mask to reduce the exposure of the foam in the water then I added a dynamic contrast on the Heron to bring it out a bit more, I set the opacity to 70. Overall I am pleased with the results from both the camera and ON1 Software.Exif information:
