First Light in Norfolk , England
After a rough nights sleep in our caravan in Trimingham, Norfolk, England, due to the weather, I decided to take myself down to the seafront to capture a sunrise.
Now if anyone out there knows what Trimingham Beach is like ,would say it’s a rugged ,baron beach with nothing but old groynes and breakers put in place to protect the coastline from erosion.
These can often make interesting subjects for seascape photography, which I tend to use for long exposures. After a glorious sunrise, I was about to pack up but noticed the reflective properties of the receding tide.
So I opted for a 3/5 sec exposure at F16 to capture the detail with ISO fixed at 80 , lens at 16.5 mm.
Kit used-
Fujifilm XS10
Fujinon 16-80 mm
Cokin N4 Grad

Post processing notes:
In the Tone and Colour tab I lifted shadows and midtones ,increased contrast and then I moved onto colour, where I warmed the photo, reduced saturation ,plus lifted the vibrancy before moving on to the effects panel. Selecting the sky ,I used dynamic contrast to bring out the cloud textures. Then onto the ground and sea combined , I selected colour enhancer to help match the sky's dawn colours. Moving to the AI super select mode , I then was able to pick out the wooden breakers to lift shadows and give them more detail under Tone Enhancer. I repeated this process to work on the receding tide, boosting detail and structure, as well as boosting the white in the surf. I then added a Glow to the image , selecting angel glow, but brushing it out of the mid section to retain the details in the central area of the image. My last job was to add vignette under the effects tab , selecting strong , but increasing the feathering to 61% and roundness to 35% as well as brightening .Exif information:
