Electrifying Desert
Believe it or not this is a SINGLE lightning bolt. Captured this during an intense monsoon storm in Arizona in August 2020. I set up my camera in the middle of the desert on a tripod weighted down for stability and turned on the intervalometer while the storm was moving fast in my direction. It was an intense storm with wind and lots of lightning. This incredible single intense bolt exploded and I hoped I had captured it. Success. What a powerful image.
Post processing notes:
I have used On1 since Photo Suite 6. I edited this image in Develop with multiple layers to adjust tone and also in Effects converting to black and white (although image was mostly mono due to the night and white lightning. Also used resize for adjusting for print optimization.Exif information:
