AF Thunderbirds and the NASA Meatball
A composite of the Air Force Thunderbirds superimposed around the NASA meatball. The photos were taking during the 2023 Air Power Over Hampton Roads Air Show at Langley Air Force Base, and the meatball is from in front of NASA Langley.
Post processing notes:
The four photos were originally edited using ON1 Photo Raw 2023. The planes and their smoke trails were masked by hand with a drawing tablet. The photo was brought into Photo Raw 2025 to remove some distractions (yellow cones and cars) on the right side. Generative AI was used on the cars, and the perfect eraser on the cones. Also, the meatball was accentuated using the color enhancer, and some of the shadowed letters in the marquis were brightened using a local adjustment and superselect AI to choose the letters.Exif information:
