A Perfect Day – Japan in the Springtime
I took this picture whilst I was on my Honeymoon in Japan this year (April 2025). It was during the cherry blossom season when I visited Yoyogi park. I think the plant is a Allium Basalticum, also known as ‘Silver Spring’. My Wife and I walked through the park and it was incredible to see all the flowers and trees in bloom.
To be honest, I wanted to walk through the park to find one of the famous toilets that are featured in the movie ‘Perfect Days’. The toilets are in a transparent glass cubicle but the glass turns opaque when locked. Sadly they were stuck on opaque mode when I visited so I didn’t get the chance to try out the feature. Still, worth the trip because I got a few great pictures like this one!
I’m still learning my way around my camera, but thought I managed to get some good depth of field, and also captured the flowers in focus. Bonus points for the Japanese Honey Bee that popped into frame too!

Post processing notes:
I only used One1 Photo RAW 2025 for this. I'm still a new at using the software but this is a high level of the steps I followed. - Slight Crop - Brilliance AI (with a few tweaks) - Lens Correction - Tack Sharp AI - Local Adjustments of Flora - LUTs: Colour Grading > Resolute - Slight Colour edit: Purples/Blues - BordersExif information:
