About the ON1 Photo RAW Project

The ON1 Photo RAW Project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

It would be nice to have opacity support for all presets. Let’s say you choose a preset that you like but the look is too strong. A slider to reduce its strength would be nice too have. Right now the only easy way to do this is by duplication the layer, using the preset on...

How can ON1 replace Photoshop and Lightroom if they don’t support presets and brushes from these programs? Please add support so those who have purchased presets and brushes can use them with ON1. Also please create a way to import Aperture Libraries while maintaining keywords, metadata, etc. as much as possible. I have over 80000...
For the hobbyist,  we don’t all take pictures of the same thing, ie a photoshoot. I often go walking with my camera and will take photos of my dog, my partner, bugs, flowers, etc So it’s often not practical to keyword these situations on import. Perhaps hold a list of ten last used keywords. So...

It would be so nice to be able to assign shortcuts to, let’s say, 3 to 5 presets we choose. No need to open the left panel (and to wait for the presets to preview)… And possibility to apply these presets even in Browse mode. Heaven…
Several of the presets offered as free benefits to members include adjustments in Develop. The thing is, you don’t know if a preset does that until you apply it. Frustrating after you have spent some time making your own adjustments. Provide a toggle that offers apply / do not apply Develop adjustments on presets. Better,...

It would be great to have better options to organize presets when having plenty of them. I suggest the possibility to create named folders in the Presets section and move existing Preset folders into them. So one can create Preset Theme Collections on their own and won’t get lost in endless unsorted Preset Folder Lists.

It would be great if I could see which presets I used on a picture in previous editing sessions. An intuitive way to implement this option would be via the right click menu on the picture. Generally the performance on my top spec MacBook Pro2018 is mediocre. In Capture One if I click through the pictures...

In my opinion the choice of a Presets should not override a Lens correction previously set. Elementary!

Currently, import presets are set to operate by merely merging metadata sets.  So if I use one preset that adds a keyword or description to a set of photos on import, then want to import another set of photos with a different preset that lacks the description and keyword, I have to manually delete the...
Based on suggestions in various tutorial videos I have set up a number of Local Adjustment styles that have blending mode options set so that they apply to Shadows, Highlights etc. To do something similar for Effects Filters that could be applied in the same way would require duplicating these settings in Styles for each...

The current version of On1 Raw 2019 has no capability to apply one or more presets specifically within the export process. It would be useful to apply specific presets in the export process without having to first save them in the photo sidecar. Examples could be, to apply a custom border, to apply a LUT...

Hello again, Another great thing would be, if i could save as a preset all the local adjustments. I made as an example, 5 adjustments with a black mask each one does a different thing waiting for me to interact with them,it would be cool if we can save them as preset so i don`t...

I was just wondering …other than renaming each version of photos created with different presets is there a way to easily determine upon reviewing images later which presets have been applied. Maybe I am missing something. I know that you can look at the thumbnails when applying to get an idea of what the image...
On many presets such as Dynamic Range I would like the ability to create a saved preset and make it my default so each time I select Dynamic Contrast or any other filter it will apply my default preset.

With the power of LUTs being added, I see a proliferation of user downloaded LUTs becoming cumbersome without the ability to create folders, subfolders and easily move LUTs between folders. It would also be nice to have custom LUTs show up in the Quick View Browser tab like custom presets.

Suggestion: When using the HDR conversion I can define presets on the “HDR Look” tab but not on the “Tone & Color” one. Could that be added?

The new renaming tools in ON1 are very good. I would like to be able to save each renaming set as a preset so thar I could easily switch back and forth. I would also like the option to automatically begin each sequential renaming with the with the number 1.
We are now able to use the date taken as part of the renaming process. A great addition. I would like to be able to save the rename settings as a preset so that I can use the settings over again.

I would like to be able to create and use custom presets of particular filters configurations in the Browse menu, e.g., show only thumbnails my Album or other display that have a Pick/Heart tag (or a specific number of stars) which also have a particular set of keywords or other advanced criteria in the metadata....
On1 Photoraw provides a basic ability to search based on various criteria; however, their is no ability to save the search (other than creating smart albums). Can you please provide the ability to save search presets.

Presets are a. Great perk but I find it hard to keep track of whTs available vs what I have downloaded. Should be straightforward to scan my preset directory, compare to the available ones , and create a download list ( like ms does for available updates)

The Enhance presets in ‘photo foundations’ are basically the presets I use for all of my photos. Especially the one called ‘Cool Breeze’. When I heard about On1 Photo Raw, I was so exited it would mean I wouldn’t need to add a filter one by one anymore. Unfortunately I found out, after upgradin to...
Currently if I’m not mistaken it isn’t possible to insert one effect onto more than one image at a time. That can only be done with Use Preset or with Sync, but then all previously made Effects settings will be overwritten. It could save time if it would be made possible.

If I have developed a cool preset, I can right-click it and select “share with community” (in the menu under Import/Export Preset). If I don’t like my local presets or pre-installed presets, I can browse through all published presets in a kind of store (free and commercial). In addition, it should be possible to rate...

I usually have my Presets set to the two-column view. Now and again, I click the icon at the top-right of the presets to see a page full of the presets in that category. If I decide I don’t want to use any of those, but I do want to see presets in another category,...
It would be useful to be able sort Preset Catagories manually. Having collected over a 100 categories through the years it would be great to manually sort and move them so your most used categories are at the top of the list. In conjunction with this, it would be great to be able to move...

Very regularly, after having processed a series of images from one shoot, I decide afterwards to change the same thing in all or several of the images (for instance: add a little contrast, change a particular color a bit, change color temperature or what not). But there’s really no way to do that in one...

I’d like to see a feature that allows you to preassign a set of EXIF and IPTC fields and automatically apply these settings to each RAW file to be opened.

I have a lot of Lightroom presets, and I am sure that others the have worked with that software does also. Some I purchased, some I created. I would be nice if you could develop a Preset Migration Tool, that would allow you to import and use a lightroom presets in Photo RAW. Maybe even...
