Using lightrooms development information within the DNG-files.

I’m using DNG files and let lightroom write sidecar information. Unfortunately lightroom writes this information into the DNG-files. It would be great, if on1 photo raw could use, handle and update this information within the DNG-files.

This is a must have :-)
And id go even further, if possible to have the Lightroom settings mirrored
By on1 raw settings (even if not 100% accurate)

Using the pre-release I have to say on1 raw is great and very promising, but there is no support for DNG files right now. Indexing a disc with a lot of DNG files crashed on1 browser. I do hope very much they can fix it and bring a great DNG support with this product.

DNG is an application that Adobe wants to see used with more applications as well as have more camera manufacturers implement as their native RAW file system. The one thing that drew me to using DNG (besides being on the Adobe prerelease teams since CS2), is the ability to eliminate side car files.

All of my Raw original images were immediately converted to DNG upon downloading from the CF/SD cards – over ten terabytes worth of image files to date. I work with Camera Raw in PS as well as Lightroom CS6, which support each other since they use the same Raw conversion engine.
Using Lr (since the first version, and Ps since version 2.0) makes it very important that full transport of countless hours of work on these files are not lost due to an incompatibility. When I look at a DNG file that was previously edited in either ACR or Lr, the edits are available in both applications without restrictions. If you can make this happen at least with DNG (not the multitude of OEM Raw file editors), then you will have made ON1 RAW irresistible to many pro shooters.
