One of my resolutions for 2021 is for more interaction with customers. I’ve been working at ON1 since the very beginning, July 2005. If you heard or read somewhere about how we started working in a small office with only folding tables and chairs, a set of those was my desk.

We’re now accepting submissions for the January 2021 Photo Critiques, which are open to all Plus members. You can upload one photo for critique to the gallery, via our submission page. (The guidelines for images are reproduced below.) In an attempt to keep the length of the critiques video shorter (and hopefully, more watchable to all), we’re going to keep the critiques open for a week, closing this month on January 12.
We’ve got some lovely winter light out there in the northern hemisphere, which can make for beautiful subdued colors and lovely shadows; if you’re looking for a subject during these shorter days, the light is the place to start.
If you’re new to Plus, and haven’t yet submitted a photo to the critiques gallery, we highly encourage it: we love seeing everyone’s work, and the critiques are a great way to help expand your skills.
Just a quick note to let everyone know that the video of the December 2020 Plus Photo Critiques is now online. You can view the video by clicking the link above, or view it on Vimeo. As we’ve been doing for the past few months, we critiqued every photo submitted to the gallery; Hudson and I hope that everyone finds these useful and constructive.

In the wake of the recent Field to Print Photo Kit I just released with ON1, I had a number of questions about installing and using the dramatic skies and presets that were in included. If you bought the photo kit, this video can help you make the most of it and other Photo RAW presets and extras that you have already.
